Ahead of this weeks last home game of the season against St Duthus at Claggan Park on Saturday with a 1pm ko, we hope to see the local community get behind the club and cheer on the team in large numbers. Since taking over in September 2023 Chairman Rob Coull said the following as he looked back on the season.I’ve worked non stop behind the scenes to rebuild the club off the pitch and support the players and management team on the pitch.So much has happened in the past 7 months and rebuilding relationships in the community, council and youth setup was my number one task. Listening to people and taking onboard there concerns or suggestions over a coffee was key as the board then worked out a strategy for the remainder of the season.I felt sad at times when chatting to locals who felt disconnected from the club and it’s been great to see these faces back watching and cheering on our team once again.The quality of football on the park has helped and I’m sure you will all agree it’s nice to see some great build up play, top drawer goals and great saves by fletch.Commercially we have a new kit supplier Appin sports who have a club shop online and pre orders for the new training ranges are beginning to be shipped out. We think you will all be blown away by the Home & Away kit designs for season 24/25 in what will be the clubs 50th anniversary.On Sunday 2nd June we invite Lochaber to come to our free Festival Of Football community event at Claggan Park featuring a Primary School competition and a WHAFA Selects vs Fort William 1st Team match. Nevis Radio will be in attendance with an outside broadcast and we have Fort William Bouncy Castles and face painters.
